1 Trade Logistics Transports Superbikes, Ferraris, Celebrates Italian Victory

DALLAS/FORT-WORTH, TX | June 10, 2017

Andrea Dovizioso’s 2016 Ducati Desmosedici GP16 was bought by an anonymous racing enthusiast in Dallas and imported on their behalf by Advanced Motorsports (AMS) Ducati Dallas. Grapevine-based logistics company 1 Trade Logistics was given the job of transporting the superbike from Bologna, Italy to Dallas / Fort-Worth.

In 2016, Andrea Dovizioso rode the superbike to 5th overall in the Motorcycle Grand Prix. The GP16 reached 218.2 MPH in the 2016 Qatar MotoGP race, making it the fastest bike in a straight line. In the Australian race, Dovizioso and Andrea Iannone rode their GP16s to the first Ducati MotoGP 1-2 finish since 2007.

Coincidentally, the same week as 1 Trade shipped his 2016 bike, Dovizioso won an unprecedented race in Italy on his 2017 bike by becoming the first Italian rider, on an Italian bike, to win the Italian Moto GP. The win catapults Dovizioso to 2nd place overall in the standings and gives him momentum going into the next race. It’s a huge point of pride for the Italian Moto GP race community. The bike he rode was nearly identically to the previous year’s version you see in the video attached to this release.

“It’s just great to be associated with Ducati in any small way,” 1 Trade President Sol Arango said. “Ducati is synonymous with quality, speed, and being the best. These are the same things our company strives for every single day.”

A few days later, 1 Trade Logistics delivered a Ducati Superleggera (superlight) to a collector in Colorado. The street legal bike is primarily constructed from titanium and carbon fiber, making it super light and super fast. It is an ultra rare bike with only 500 in existence worldwide.

Jeff Nash, Owner of Advanced Motorsports (AMS) Ducati Dallas, says about 1 Trade, “They’re the go-to guys for getting projects like this handled. They make it seamless. If you give them a job, it gets done.”

1 Trade Logistics also recently won a contract to deliver 18 Ferraris to the 2018 Ferrari rally in Maui, Hawaii. The Ferraris will be delivered on behalf of Ferrari of North America and The Boardwalk Auto Group.

“We all like to go fast! That’s the only thing I can think of, really,” Juan Arango, VP of Operations for 1 Trade Logistics laughed when asked why they handle so many of these types of clients. “Honestly, it’s just a similar culture here at 1 Trade. We love racing, we love fast cars and bikes, and we love competition. We’re really honored to handle these projects. It’s a lot of fun – we get a kick out of it.”
